<description>I am updating a kitchen for a rental property that I'm currently owner-occupying. (I know, I'm NOT really going for the "cheap" alternative with granite), but I'm living there for the next 5 years, and I want it to be nice.

I've rehabbed the kitchen, it's small about 130"x75" in the loft/efficiency apartment with new cabinets, (cherry wood finish - toffee), and all stainless/black accented oven/stove, and fridge.

I have several choice colors offered by the local granite dealer, and I was curious what you thought on both color and durability since it will eventually be a rental unit?

Color scheme: Toffee cabinets above and below, counter in an L shape corner, fridge left on the long leg, oven/stove on the right side, sink in the middle. Floor is ceramic tile with a sand-dusty brown, and lighter off white grout.

Granite color choices: St. Celcilia, Uba Tuba, or Black Galaxy.

As it's a rental unit, I'll be sealing it with the longest sealer I can find, and but know that it will probably get stained over time.

What type of granite color would you recommend for such a high use, potentially abused area?

Thanks,
