I recently had Uba Tuba Granite installed on my kitchen counter tops. I have a small island 2' X 3'. The island doesn't look as pretty and shiny as the rest of the coutertops. In fact, it looks almost like it was cut from a different slab. The fabricator swears he cut it from the same 2 slabs. Everything matches but the island. The island doesn't have the pretty flecks of gold and other characteristics as the other areas. How can this be fixed?
Could I do the island in a totally different color? What would go well with the Uba tuba, oak cabinets, stainless steel appliances and tera cotta floor?
