		<description>Tom,

I have recently sold my house that had a kitchen I loved with Kraftmaid honey spice birch cabinet, natural color wood flooring, stainless appliances and medina brown granite.

My finace's kitchen is not what I like ideally in a kitchen. It is fairly outdated. It is about 10X12 and has a large bay window that faces west. Today there is only a doorway that connects it with the dining room, although we may be tearing that down in the future. The dining room has neutral walls, built-in china cabinets - from the 1920's and our table is cherry.

My biggest challenge is that he has newer white appliances that it wouldn't make sense for us to replace. The house is in an area that was over-inflated in price at the time he purchased the home. We plan to stay for at least a few years, but want to watch the amount of money we sink into the house, while still making it a place we like to entertain in. The appliances that I really want are over $10,000.

What color granite, sink and cabinets would you recommend to go with white appliances - understanding if we stay for a long time we will most likely convert to stainless?

Warm Regards,
