Removing Hard Water Spots From Granite
I have Uba Tuba with my faucet, sprayer, and hot water dispenser all sitting directly on/through the granite. As you can imagine, the hard water spots are terrible around the faucets. I know that I am not supposed to use vinegar but what will remove the hard water? Our water is VERY hard. Thanks. — Jill
Hello Jill. Vinegar will not harm your granite but it will remove the sealer that protects it. You can use it, but just remember to re-seal the granite afterward. I would first try TSP (tri-sodium phosphate) from the hardware store.

Hi Tom,
I got granite slab (Absolute Black) sitting in the open space yard. My question is absolute black granite slab can show water line marks when it is outside. Can we remove those lines with something.
cheers

Absolute Black Granite Shower (floor and walls). I have been fighting hard water build up in the corners of the shower floors/walls for two years – and what I once loved about this house, I’m beginning to hate! Can you tell me how to get the hard water crust off the granite and prevent it from recurring? I heard that once I get it cleaned off, I should use something like “Rain-X” to keep it off next time. Is this safe to use on granite?

I have jonquil granite and porcelain tile in my shower. Will using Rain-X harm the granite or the tile
