Hi Tom,

We just had granite countertops and backsplash installed in the kitchen. The granite is a sand color with some grays. I have 3 questions on the removal of different stains.

1. How can I remove black marker marks from the outlining of the sink? I’m not quite sure what kind of ink it is, whether it is permanent or not, but I have tried scrubbing it off and it didn’t work.

2. The dusty granite question sounds similar to another problem of mine. All around the seams, there is this layer of stuff (glue I suppose) that causes those areas to look not shiny or polished at all. Now, I am not exactly sure if this is the same “dusty” problem, and if it isn’t, what can I do to remove it?

3. Just today I noticed 2 small light pink spots on the countertop, which I’m pretty sure weren’t there before. Nowhere else on the countertop or backsplash are there any pink coloring at all. I’m not sure at all what could’ve caused the pink spots to just suddenly appear and was wondering how I would be able to remove it.

Thanks Tom!

I have this same problem and would like to try your solution, but cannot find the product you mentioned "Cleans All" by Proctor & Gamble. I did a google search and went on the P&G site but was unable to find any mention of it.

Do you know where it can be found, or an alternative product that would work to loosen the resin?

Thanks.
